Momentum For Monday, July 17th 2023

"With You I can attack a barrier, and with my God I can leap over a wall." (Psalm 18:29)

These are David's words as he was rescued from real enemies trying to take his life. We may not have that actual threat going on in our own lives, but the truth of this statement still stands. With God, things that seem at our disadvantage or daunting in our own abilities, now become possible.

In balance, it's needs to be clarified that God doesn't do the effort for us, we still have to initiate that. However, it's God that gives the extra ability to accomplish things we normally couldn't do. It's like hitting the nitro boost in racing. The momentum already in play increases.

The Christian that is grounded in Christ has the benefit over the average Joe. Even when the deck is stacked against you, you still have the advantage. God in you opens doors of opportunities to work miracles in the ways we least expect it.  

In what impossible or daunting situations do you need to believe God to help you in the midst of? Where has faith been lacking in your life? Ask God to bolster those areas this week.
