“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men…” (Colossians 3:23)
Before Covid, I went back to school to finish my degree. I prayed about it for months before finally doing it. I was reluctant because I knew it would cost a lot (and not just money).
Well, I'm happy to say I'm in the home stretch. I have one more semester of classes and then I'm graduating with my bachelors degree. It has been a long journey and one that I'm glad will be over soon.
The important thing for me is to finish strong. Committing to something isn't for the faint of heart. I had a mentor tell me years ago, "Many start well, but few end well." She was referring to the finish line of faith, but it has always stuck in the back of my mind for all of life.
This last year has gotten me into a season of exhaustion I'd not had before. As tough as it's been, I learned that I need to improve some things personally. Does this resonate with you?
Let's not be people that can start a million things , but people that are good at finishing too. Let's not just be people of good intentions, but those that have integrity and stick with their word. Let's be the few that end well, whatever that looks like in your life.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
(2 Timothy 4:7)
