"For all the promises of God find their Yes in him. That is why it is through him that we utter our Amen to God for his glory." (2 Corinthians 1:20)
There was a time in my life that I felt like every prayer was ignored or met with a "no." Every door was a closed one. Every ask of God left me frustrated.
It left me thinking God was against me. It made me believe God didn't hear me or love me. It made me want to stop praying and seeking Him.
I didn't understand that a "no" was just as directional and loving as any "yes" ever will be. I've learned looking back that I was missing God's perfect will for me, which was the reason for the closed doors. If it weren't for those "no's", I would not have been where I am now. And I've heard and read people saying those same things and thought it was crap. It really is true though.
Hearing a "no" at the very least still means I'm hearing His correction and hearing Him in any regard, and that is a good day. Outlive your frustration of "no" to redirect you to His "yes" for you. If all you hear is no, then maybe you're heading towards the wrong things. Maybe your next ask is to stop and ask for directions.
"A wise man’s heart turns him toward the right [which is the way of blessing], but a fool’s heart turns him toward the left [which is the way of condemnation]."
(Ecclesiastes 10:2)
