Momentum For Monday, August 28th 2023
If I can be blunt with y’all today, I hate having to play the role of a saleswoman when it comes to my blog or books, but the only thing that gives me peace in doing so, is the message and the opportunity of helping others. With that said, bear with me ok?
As of 2021, several credible sources reported that one in five adults were estimated to have suffered from some form of mental illness. One in five could easily average one person in a household. Suffice it to say, if it’s not you, then you know somebody who does struggle in their mental health.
When I wrote The Daily Dose, it was at the height of Covid in 2020. I wrote it from my experience and journey of wrestling through mental health. I’ve been saved for over 20 years, but that didn’t keep me from struggling with depression and suicide. I know many in the Church (and outside) share that same battle.
While my message in the devotional surrounds a heavy topic, I keep the daily reading load light and easy. Whether you love to read or not, most can spare five minutes to invest in their spiritual health and wellness along w/their walk with God. The goal was to make this book as approachable as people to as many people as possible. And per usual, it is aimed at encouraging every reader.
Here’s my ask- pray for this book if you don’t mind. Publicly, this book will launch on September 10th to all the major retailers. This date is on purpose because it’s for “World Suicide Prevention Day.” If you can afford to grab a copy, great, I’d love to get it in your hands. But if you know someone that this book will help, will you share send it their way and let them know about it?
If you don’t want to wait until September 10th you can order a signed copy from me (yep, just go to the books tab on the homepage). Or, if you’re one of my local folks, come out and join me for the book launch. I’d love to have as many people there as possible to celebrate. That link is here.
Ok, my sales rant is over. As usual, I’m praying for you all. Have a great week!
