“Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and all God made, and have known of his existence and great eternal power. So they will have no excuse when they stand before God at Judgment Day.” (Romans 1:20)

I look forward to the thawing of winter giving way to spring every year. As a gal that connects to God through nature, living in a colder climate makes it difficult for me to enjoy those cold, dark months. Christmas is great and all, but I’m more than happy to celebrate it in the sun and sand over snow any time. So, when spring time rolls around, I perk up.

I caught a sunset the other day it just made me happy. It wasn’t particularly beautiful or anything, in fact, it was shrouded in clouds. However it just made me think of God.

Every sunset gives hope. Night will be around for a moment, but the sun will rise again- just like the resurrection of Christ. Those were a few thoughts that came through my mind.

Nothing amazing. Nothing pivotal. It was just a small moment in my day that shifted my attention towards God again. A small, but happy distraction bringing me back to where my focus should be.

This week, I hope you get distracted- in a good way. I hope you get redirected often. May God interrupt your days bringing you back to focus and to remind you of Him.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”

(Psalm 19:1)
