“Yes, I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in me and I in him shall produce a large crop of fruit. For apart from me you can’t do a thing.” (John 15:5)

I have come to realize in my life that opposition is best handled when it is embraced instead of avoided. Now, I'm not talking about the things we can prevent with a little common sense, but I'm talking about the inevitable challenges we encounter in our lives. These oppositions can present themselves in a number of ways.

Do you have a certain issue you've tried continually to overcome but experience failure repeatedly? A heart break that seems impossible to shake? Or maybe a set back that seems like it will take forever to over come? What is that opposition for you?

The truth is, you and I were created to do hard things. You are not as fragile as you may think. However, the key thing in dealing with difficulties is that you were not created to do them alone. God designed it so that we would partner with Him through the Holy Spirit, our Helper.

Remember that thing you are struggling with? Now take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to come and help. This is what He wants and loves to do.  As you go about your days, invite Him to teach you how to tackle your impossibilities.

He replied, “God can do what men can’t!”

(Luke 18:27)
