“…he was raised on the third day…” (1 Cor 15:3-4)

There are a lot of gods out there that claim and promise to be THE god. It's not a new development in the history of religion. Even in the era when Genesis was recorded, other cultures claimed to have gods that they claimed were credited for creation. Same junk, different century.

What I love is how Christianity differs from those other "gods." Many ancient cultures claim that humans were created to appease and satisfy gods. They had to work to keep their gods satisfied. This is not the case with our God

While we were created to exalt and worship Him, he doesn't need us to. If we don't worship Him, creation will (see Luke 19:40). You see, we were created in His image out of enjoyment and relationship. We were created because God was already pleased, not out of a need to feel pleased.

Further, many religions and gods proclaim death as their final act in deity. However, Jesus drew a final line and said, "not only did I die, but I conquered death and resurrected." And why? So, we too can live.

“But these are written so that you may believe Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God,[a] and by believing you may have life in His name.”

(John 20:31)
